Luna Station Quarterly Issue 52
"Beech, Please" is a fantasy-comedy short story originally published in the December 2022 issue of Luna Station Quarterly. It has been described as "sensational," "magical," and "delicious" (or maybe deciduous).

I adore Luna Station Quarterly and am honored that they are the first home for my published fiction.

PodCastle Episode 796
"Beech, Please" was reprinted as a full-cast audio production in the July 18, 2023 episode of PodCastle, a weekly fantasy podcast producing audio performances of fantasy short fiction. My sincere thanks to PodCastle and everyone who was involved in producing the episode. It was surreal to listen to my words produced by a publication I admire so much.

Matt Dovey ended the episode with the absolute kindest commentary:

I hope you had fun with that one. We very much had fun with that one. It had a playfulness with language that I adore, the sort of impish tinkering with vocabulary as a toolbox that Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin deployed as well–
. . .
I want you to go away from this one with a smile on your lips and in your heart, ready for your own adventures of kindness and self-discovery. Sometimes it’s okay to just sit and enjoy the joy of life, y’know?
